It has been a long road, and I am not a patient person. I have had the car for 5 years before finally getting it baking soda blasted in Dec 2005. I am trying to get it ready for paint but was very unhappy with the fiberglass hood (in picture) and have now replaced it with one that is fiberglass and a metal frame. I am much happier with it. The new left fender should be in this week. I have to decide on a exterior paint color ( I am down to black or ice blue metallic), the interior is black. The stripes will be Shelby of course, I want them to appear like brushed aluminum, like the dash and instrument cluster, but have not found anyone to do that yet! I should have it to the paint in the next 3 weeks, depending on schedule. They will also check on a frame machine before welding the frame support brackets and panhard rod to the rear of the car. I am leaving the door handles but removing the locks from the car. I also want to remove all the bumper bolts, any advice hear would be nice as well. I will probably visit Roush in Dec or early Jan to decide on the motor. I really would prefer the 402IR, but do not know if it will fit between the shock towers. I am converting the car to feul injection, the current plan is to use a stock gas tank with an external pump, but I have been told by a few I should use a internal one, if anyone has advice please let me know!
